If you have followed this blog at all up to the present, you have probably noted we have shifted from offering the straight movie reviews we started with. Due to the temporary (hopefully) shutdowns of movie theaters, what few movies that are coming out presently are all on line. This is coupled with the nightly treasure hunt we are all engaged in to find something worth watching. So we are trying to modify this blog to (hopefully) assist you in this hunt. We have started reviewing online series that we think you would like, to include ones like Justified, Peaky Blinders, and Hell on Wheels. These are great shows, featuring well developed characters and plots, strong scripts, and good acting. If you haven’t entertainingly watched Marshal Raylan Givens deal with Kentucky criminals, been entranced by the Peaky Blinders Birmingham criminal schemes, or been caught up in whether Cullen Bohannon will be able to finish the transcontinental railroad ahead of the competition, these are shows to entertain you for some weeks. If you have seen them before and enjoyed them, maybe its time to look at them again. We are also scanning nightly for new movies (the few that there are presently) or new series that you might like. Reprisal is one of the new series that is a funky, Southern gothic, sometimes violent (but not too bloody) series that may grab you like it did us. Our efforts to find more movies and series will continue because we need to be entertained during these difficult times as much as you do. We hope you will enjoy what we find.
